(this is the part where I realise we don't have a picture together, lets fix that please)

So, my beloved Tip Top Towers is moving and last night they hosted a leaving party sale, which I of course had to go to, not only to see what treasures I could find but also to say hello to Steve, Deb and Shelly and bye to the studio where I learnt SO MUCH about photography and it truly ignited the spark I held for photography.

I miss working in the office with the team as I felt it was something I could definitely do in the future and their lovely personalities made me feel welcome and at home every time. I can't wait to see the new place and scramble to find some free time to go to another tip top training day for the model workshops I love so much. As I look back at some of the posts I've mentioned the team in, I can see how I get better with each workshop and when I think about it, my confidence is growing as I let my love for photography bring me out of the shell. Along with Steve's repetitive advice "be confident!"

I find myself thinking back to my times at Tip Top studios while at uni, I've certainly mentioned it to my friends a few times but mostly the lessons in manual shooting which certainly aid my photography today as I actually know what I'm doing thanks to Steve (and Timm, Mark and Paul my lovely lecturers of course), but hey, as Steve and Debbie are also taking courses at BCU [Deb's new fashion blog as a mature student] I look out for them everyday - only to find out last night they are in the days I have off, typical! - and I hope to either bump into them or meet up with them and see their work soon.

I could rave about these lovely bunch all day, but I wanted to take a moment to thank the guys for the life changing work experience, which as I said, ignited my photography spark and sent me on my way and continuing to be supportive and just plain friendly. Also a humongous thank you for the box full of treasures last night I am truly grateful for your kindness! The box handles did give way but Dad felt it go and softened the fall so thankfully there were no casualties, they certainly have come to a good home although I do still need to sweep my shelves clean to arrange my new collection of cameras in it's own special place.

I am proud to be part of the Tip Top family, and I wish them all the best in the new office "The Lighthouse", and a sad cheerio to "Tip Top Towers", the studio where it all began.

Becky's tattoo's were also a new thing for me to photograph and were beautifully amazing against the white bedsheets, which helped her stand out all the more, even in the ever beautiful black and white.

Becky's hair was also gorgeous and reminded me of my bright purple days. I love how hers slightly fades at the tips.

I also admired the way she kept a mirror in front of her during the shoot so she could pose perfectly each time and keep her general appearance well, leaving nothing to have to photoshop out which made editing very quick and easy.

I love this set because of how much the bright underwear, her hair and ink stand out against the white surroundings, really focusing all of the attention on Becky. Here I tried bringing out more blue tones to help make the tattoo ink pop as the pink hair and red underwear stood out so much already.

This shot is one of my most favourites because I just feel like everything has come together well, the natural light from the windows behind me lighting up everything perfectly and the way the whole frame is used, ooh go me.

Still in the bedroom we moved onto some standing shots by the wall. I loved the wall paper here because of the texture, yet the colour is still dull enough to maintain focus on Becky.

Since the wall was next to the windows the contrast was much more significant, which I quite liked, bringing something a little different to the composition.

Next we moved to the room just outside the bedroom which had three different wallpapers on. I love these shots because of how bright and beautiful everything is, really emphasising the patterns of Becky's tattoo's.

I always say how much I love the colours within a photo, anything with bright colours really stands out to me before I pull out a camera so this set was really interesting to do.

In this shot I decided to make the background black and white so that the colours of her hair, tattoos and bra really stood out and things were a little less busy.

During the editing of this shoot I quite liked to increase the sharpness of things so that the details of Becky's tattoos really stood out. The fact that she was in underwear really showed off her tattoos so I sort of made that the focus of this shoot.

I admired the way Becky would pause and say to herself "What new can I do" before holding different poses, and hearing Steve and another photographer say how she really knows her stuff shows how she's such a pro.

I decided to take a few shots on the other wall which was more black and white, allowing Becky to stand out more naturally against the wall.

The last set I did was on the white curve in the main studio, first with a white wicker chair which I liked because it added texture like the bedroom wall but still blended in to the white background and made Becky stand out.

I also liked the change of outfit with this set too to change up the shots I was left with a little more. The beautiful statement necklace tying together the colour of her hair and underwear, finishing off the look perfectly.

I loved getting some full length shots which showed off her leg tattoos aswell. With this shot I tilted it to spice things up a bit as I simply shot this straight as I could manage, leaving future editing me to get creative with the angles.

I always like to get a range of portrait and landscape orientations during shoots, so that I'm left with an array of different shots that offer something new each time, other than the posing.

I love this straight on shot, with Becky's tattoos filling the bottom half while her jewellery and bright pink hair brighten up the top half of the image. These are the shots I showed to Becky as I brought the fur coat over to her and she said she loved - que trying not to blush before I reassume my position to take shots with the coat on.

I love the texture the fur coat brings to these images, this black and white photo I feel really brings out this texture aswell as the details of the necklace and her arm tattoos. And those cheekbones - damn!

Again I loved capturing Becky's leg tattoos with this full length shot. There's something so classic about shooting on a plain white background with a studio flash.

I would have loved to stay longer and take more photos in the different sets as I loved all the ones I had done and was very proud of what I got out of them. I'd also like to thank Becky for making my first underwear shoot experience a good one, her laid back and friendly attitude making me more comfortable and now more open to another shoot like this in the future.

I am most excited for my next shoot with Tip Top, it's always a good experience when ever I see them and every time I leave I eagerly await the next hello. I fall in love with the photoshoot and blogging process more every time. My photography blog posts I feel are my best, I can talk about photos easily and I grow more proud of the outcome every time I try.

I adore the colouring of these two urban street shots. The warm tones makes it look like a sunny autumnal day, one of my most favourite kind of atmospheres as everything is just so orange and crisp but still a little warm.

This is my favourite from the set on the steps. While taking it I even thought "this looks like its from a fashion magazine or something" and I still think so. Everything about it just looks perfect, the lighting, colours and positioning. I think it's pretty amazing if I do say so myself.

This is another of my favourites, although I hate the glare through the window, I LOVE the pose - which is something I recommended myself ooh get me all professional. But yes I thought the skirt was beautiful and really brought out the vintage look and the pout really is the cherry on top.

In much of these colour photos I focused on the beautiful colour of Elle's hair, lips and eyes to make the image pop with bright, warm tones.

Again, hello great editing skills and goodbye unnecessary blue sticker on the window over her shoulder ;)

I love these vintage looks, so casual and chic.

I love the warm lighting too, despite having cold hands all day.

Here I love the contrast of the black jacket and Elle's lovely hair colour against the white interior, making her really stand out, as well as the framing and texture of the wall.

In these shots I focused on making her hair, eyes and lips pop. The black and white ones from this set look amazing and timeless but I just adore colours in photography and decided not to neglect the small essences of colour in this set, trying something different and enticing to draw in attention.

I made her lips a lot brighter and redder in this one as her gorgeous blue eyes are striking.

I adore how simple and natural this one looks I can barely describe.

I love how full of emotion this character shot is, Again I focused on making her hair and the blue of this dress really vivid under the spotlight of the flashgun.

This shot isn't as bright, I decided to tone it down a bit more so that it was the emotion and story that shone through in this image. Let me know what sort of stories you would make up to go along with these photos I'd love to hear some ideas!

This one caught Steve's eye because of how the lighting lined up perfectly. I also love how you can just about make out the floral wallpaper behind Elle, which was lit up with a blue tint. I liked not having to edit these dark character photos as much because it was about the stark contrast and spotlight.

I think this last set is one of my favourites because of how H&M/casual it looks, with the bright red shirt centring all the attention. I particularly love the light flare on this one, I feel it really polishes off the casual candid-like tone of these images.

I also adore this one because of the walls that frame Elle on the windowsill, and the slight industrial feel to the walls that heighten the casual urban style. I sneakily took this one from the side while Steve was getting his shot [x], which I also adore. There's just something amazing about watching a professional at work and how similar the method and results can be.

I really really love this shot. The messy hair really emphasises the "casualness" of it all and focuses the eye more towards the shirt. I feel like this would be classic sort of fashion shot, more about the clothes than the beautiful person wearing them.

I love the simplicity of this shot. The contrast between the door and Elle really make her shirt, hair and striking blue eyes stand out.

And there you have it. I'm not sure I can choose my favourite between black and white or colour, I love each shot for different reasons. I'm not even sure which set is my favourite anymore after talking about each one carefully. It is strange to look at photography and admire it then thinking, "that's mine, I took that." But that's what I've done after this shoot and I'm very pleased with it. Please let me know your favourites, I always love a bit of feedback.

I have been on another shoot with Tip Top since this one, a lingerie shoot - ooh! I shall be sharing those but do bear in mind, (not to insult your intelligence) lingerie means underwear. I'll talk all about the new experience and my thoughts on it soon but I shall give you a break from photography for next week before a shoot of something new.
